World CML Day 2020: Today, together, more than ever. For a life without CML

Sep 9, 2020

Every 22nd September, the CML Advocates Network leads the World CML Day global awareness campaign. On this day, chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) patients across the globe come together to raise awareness about our needs to the general public, politicians, and medical professionals across the world.

Today, together, more than ever due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the CML patient advocates need to connect as a worldwide community through digital tools by developing online activities.

Two months ahead of 22nd September, today we launch the World CML Day campaign, encouraging CML patients and patient organisations, health care providers, collaborators and all CML friends to join the global movement under a powerful motto:

“Today, together, more than ever. For a life without CML”

The CML Advocates Network is launching a new World CML Day logo but still containing the spirit of the original. We love our old logo and know many feel the same. But through this new evolution, we would like to improve the sense of cohesion and unity we all celebrate on 9/22. Over the next few months, you’ll see all the previous logo in many websites and materials, but we encourage the CML global community to now start using the new World CML Day logo to be more consistent and we hope, more instantly recognizable.

Voices of CML

Voices of CML 940X788

Voices of CML will be a round-the-world online broadcast with the CML patient community on the occasion of World CML Day Sept 22, 2020.

COVID-19 has had a marked impact on the activity of patient organisations all over the world and many members of the CML Advocates Network will be limited in what they can organise for World CML Day 2020.

This initiative is an attempt to overcome that challenge by offering an opportunity to each patient group to participate in a global online event and show the strength and unity of the network of patient organisations.

Join in, spread the word and show your support for patients and caregivers from all over the globe as they tell their stories about living with CML and serving the CML community.

Find out how you can be involved.
