ORGANIZATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

This is a patient and relatives' organization founded in 2006.
We started working mainly on education about CML and GIST but we are currently supporting all types of leukemia patients.
We share orientation about the patient's rights, about the disease as well as guiding patients to better navigate through the health system.
We provide support to get discounts on medication with the pharma companies helping patients to access and afford their treatments.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ORGANIZATION:

Our main goal is to work cooperatively with physicians, pharma, and health authorities in order to help the patients to get treatment.
Secondly, our objective is the patient's education improving the knowledge about what the diagnosis means, what treatment options may have and what patient's rights are.

Currently, our main initiative is focused on access, trying to get every person diagnosed with leukemia in Mexico can access the best treatment.
We work on the general coverage of the Public Insurance (Seguro popular) for all patients.

We support people with and without social security, especially on the disease's education and health rights and every month we held a meeting including different interesting topics for leukemia patients.
