Visas
How to Apply for a Visa to Romania:
Visa requirements depend on your nationality. To check if you need a Schengen entry visa to enter Romania, please click here: Schengen Visa Information.
If you do require a visa, please make sure to submit your registration for CML Horizons 2025 by 28th February 2025 via the registration link: CML Horizons Registration. Early registration is essential to ensure timely visa appointments and processing. Once your registration is confirmed, we’ll send you the necessary supporting documents. We recommend starting the visa application process immediately after receiving these documents to allow sufficient time for embassies to process your application.
The typical processing time for a Schengen visa is about 20 calendar days, but it can take longer depending on the time of year and if any documents are missing. For this reason, we advise that you get in touch with Lidija before applying to ensure everything is in order.
Required Documents for Visa Application:
- Flight Itinerary
- Hotel Confirmation
- Invitation letters from:
- Local patient organisation (LMCRO Association)
- CML Advocates Network (LePAF), confirming that all costs, including travel, accommodation, and meals, will be covered by LePAF.
Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months before the event. If you need assistance with your visa application, don’t hesitate to contact Lidija at lidija@cmladvocates.net or +389 7838 8235 (available via WhatsApp, Viber, or Telegram).
During May, there could be an introduction to new Entry Exit System (EES) System for registering non-EU nationals travelling for a short stay in 29 European countries and European Travel Information and Authorisation System and/or (ETIAS) requirements for travellers to Europe, but these have not yet been launched. We will keep an eye on the official updates and inform everyone as soon as official information becomes available. You can also find information here https://travel-europe.europa.eu/index_en.
