Call for Nominations – for the CML Steering Committee
The strength of the CML Advocates Network comes from the people who lead it advocates who care deeply, listen, and act for their communities. If you’re ready to take that next step, this is your chance to make a lasting impact.
At CML Horizons 2026, nominations will open for the Asia & Pacific and Latin America regions, where current terms are coming to an end.
We’re looking for advocates who want to bring their experience, ideas, and passion to the table people who are ready to help shape the direction of our network and strengthen its reach worldwide.
You can nominate yourself or put forward another advocate who has shown commitment and leadership in your region.
Serving on the Steering Committee is a meaningful opportunity to:
- Represent your region and make sure local needs are heard at a global level
- Contribute to planning and strategy for CML Horizons and other global initiatives
- Strengthen connections between regions and organisations
- Develop leadership skills that will benefit your organisation and the wider community
It’s a chance to invest your time in something that truly matters working with a team of peers who share your commitment to improving the lives of people living with CML.
The CML Advocates Network Steering Committee leads the way in creating meaningful change across the world.
Along with the three CML Advocates Network founders, who serve as permanent committee members, it consists of one representative from each of the following six regions:
- Asia & Pacific
- North America
- Latin America
- Middle East & Africa
- Western Europe
- Central and Eastern Europe & West Asia
To submit a nomination, please complete the nomination form provided in your invitation email or available on the CML Horizons 2026 conference webpage.
Each member organisation may nominate or self-nominate one candidate from their region.
The deadline for nominations is 23 March 2026.
Elections will take place during the mandatory in-person regional meetings on Sunday morning, 19 April 2026, and each organisation attending will have one vote per region.
