Kosovo: Association for Supporting Chronic Leukemia Patients

The Association is initiated in January 2007 and Officially registered in November 2007. Members of the Association are CML patients, family members and other volunteers (medical experts).

Audience/Constituency:

Mainly CML patients and their family members and doctor.

Ways of communication with constituency:

In-person, via e-mails or through phone calls.

Organizational objectives and key programs

Our organizational objectives are:

• To establish the mechanism that will provide free medical and psychosocial aid for patients under the treatment, and for those that are already cured.
• To help CML patients better understand the best way how to be treated. Translate documents and publications and provide CML patients with the newest information in regard to Treatment and other relevant information.

Our key programs are:

• In cooperation with family members of the patients with Chronic Leukemia, medical experts and their supporters to work on ensuring that each patient with leukaemia regardless his status in society to be provided with the treatment, cure and the adequate rehabilitation.
