Member’s description
ESPERANTRA is a non-profit organization, founded in 2005 with the purpose of contributing to the reduction of mortality from high risk non-communicable diseases (cancer; high-cost, rare chronic diseases). ESPERANTRA works for:
- Health promotion, allowing people to gain control over their health.
- Health prevention by communicating about healthy lifestyles to prevent diseases.
- Improving the quality of life of patients by promoting their capacity building and advocating for equality in access to quality treatments and innovative care.
Organizational objectives and key programs
Our organizational objectives are:
CML program 2013 “vivo con Leucemia Mieloide cronica”
Provide information for early detection, responsible prevention, and access to appropriate treatments for all Peruvians with CML.
Empower those affected with CML to better understand the disease by providing strong links to hematologist, cancer physicians, psychologists, and nutritionists, as well as to a wide variety of trusted information resources.
Protect and promote the rights of CML patients by strengthening their active role both in the fight against the disease and in advocating for the adoption of national strategies to better address cancer nationwide.
