Member’s description

Our organization OSANNA was organized in May 2006. It is represent not only the CML patients, but also other cancer patients and all persons who are interest in that problem from all regions of Ukraine. At the moment, the CML patient are under proper treatment by Government (1% on Glivec treatment) and our task to care as much as possible.

AUDIENCE/CONSTITUENCY:

CML patients, cancer patients, medical specialists, other community

WAYS OF COMMUNICATING WITH CONSTITUENCY:

Planning to have our own web-site, own newspaper.

Before the end of 2006 we would like to have press-conference and participate at the Hematology conference of Ukraine, also participate at the Novartis Ukraine initiatives.

At the moment 45, but we just started to work. Expect to have about 1000 members before the end of 2006

Organizational objectives and key programs

• To announce about big and serious problem on CML at the Ukrainian society
• The problem on CML couldn´t be solved only by patients itself and it should be step by step solution, but it should be solved
• Maximum involve and coordinate different organizations such as: Novartis, Hematologists Association of Ukraine, Ministry of health Ukraine, other State Departments, other sponsor organizations.
