The LMCRO Association was created to represent the interests of CML patients in Romania, advocating for their rights and access to necessary treatments.
They aim to:
• Advocate for improved access to high-quality therapies and services for CML patients.
• Collaborate with other organizations advocating for chronically ill patients.
• Launch an awareness campaign in 2025 to educate the public about CML and the importance of regular monitoring through blood tests under the slogan: “Prevention before Treatment.”
Current Activities:
LMCRo organizes monthly support groups where patients can engage in free discussions or consult with specialists to address their concerns.

Organizational objectives and key programs

1.One of the main objectives of the Association is to advocate for the necessary treatment of CML patients.
2.To develop actions to improve access to the best therapies for CML patients, as well as access to high quality services.
3. Another objective is to collaborate with other organizations advocating for the treatment of chronically ill patients

* We organize monthly support groups for patients with free discussions or with the presence of a specialist doctor who answers patients’ questions. the action is called “The patient asks, the specialist answers).
* What we propose for 2025: a very important project for the coming year is to start a CML awareness campaign in Romania.
* The campaign’s main objective is to increase the population’s understanding of CML patients, as well as the importance of regular monitoring through simple blood tests:
* “Prevention before treatment”
