Established in 2016 CML Zimbabwe is a non-profit making organization. After our official registration on the 4th March 2016 Reg. number MA0000198/2016 we held our official launch in October 2016, together with our first Maximize life campaign with countrywide television and press coverage our launch was a huge success when 120 people joined us on our awareness march through the city streets. Representing over 140 CML & Gist patience we were finally able to speak with one voice and be heard. We have 2 Oncologists on our team.

Organizational objectives and key programs

Our organizational objectives are:

• Education programs – Arrange patient caregivers and doctors to meet together to address patients’ concerns and instill hope in newly diagnosed patients.
• Awareness campaigns – educate the public of CML and GIST and the benefits of early detection
• Fundraising events – to bring in the much needed proceeds to fund objectives 1 and 2.
